At the Decision Support Systems Laboratory (DSS Lab, ICCS), we are proud to coordinate the EnergyGuard project, a Horizon Europe Testing and Experimentation Facility (TEF) that brings trustworthy AI to the energy sector.  EnergyGuard provides large-scale infrastructures and sandbox environments where startups, SMEs, and industry players can test, validate, and certify AI solutions under realistic conditions. 

After the Paris Agreement in 2015, when governments agreed to a temperature goal of limiting global mean temperature increase to well-below-2oC, the world saw years of increasing climate ambition. It soon became clear that energy and climate policies have dramatically strengthened in the past few years and are bearing fruit.
