EPU-NTUA participated in the "AI Enables Cybersecurity" Meet Up on 14 January 2026 at OTE Headquarters (Marousi, Athens, Greece). The event was organised by COSMOTE TELEKOM in the context of the Vigilance and CyberAid kickoff meetings and was of particular relevance to the Data Protection, etami and Data Spaces communities.
EPU-NTUA was represented by Spiros Mouzakitis and Christos Ntanos, together with many EPU-NTUA researchers, showcasing four ongoing projects through on-site banners and discussions with participants.
EnergyGuard participated in the event with a banner presenting its network of Testing and Experimentation Facilities (TEFs) dedicated to AI in the energy sector. Its presence underscored the event's core theme by emphasising the necessity of rigorously testing and validating the cybersecurity and trustworthiness of AI solutions before they are deployed in critical energy infrastructures.
The D-NAVIO project highlighted AI-enabled innovations for identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks, as well as for detecting and treating faults and incidents in large commercial and passenger vessels.
The TwinShip project participated in the event, showcasing its plans for a cutting-edge Digital Twin framework designed to accelerate the green transition in shipping. Its participation highlighted the vital importance of integrating robust cybersecurity measures into the AI-driven decision support systems that are transforming the maritime industry.
The iTrust6G project was focusing on trust and security orchestration for 6G distributed cloud environments. The project emphasises the role of AI/ML and zero-trust principles in strengthening the trustworthiness and security of next-generation networks.
