SPHINX

The project aims to build a transparent cybersecurity ecosystem custom tailored for the health and care domain that: with minimal effort medical organizations (hospitals, medical center) will become aware and understand the cybersecurity risks (know or unknown threats and vulnerabilities) and will take informed decisions affecting their cyber-physical security and privacy. The proposed cybersecurity technology will transform the organisations’ decisions into reliable automated security services and solutions, will promote security-risk end-user habits through behavioural engineering, and deliver usable transparency. SPHINX cutting-edge technology will increase the level and the effectiveness of automation of existing cybersecurity services, enhance system self-defence and countermeasure, will open up the cybersecurity ‘blackbox’ to the health network users and build a certified and trust through advanced usable transparency tools derived from heath and care personnel. SPHINX software will form a Cybersecurity Incident Collection Platform that performs network analysis and deep packet inspection for suspicious pattern recognition; will apply machine learning and data analytics for malicious behaviour detection; will carry out context-aware real-time risk assessment; will widely apply data analytics and visualizations for effortless user comprehension and decision support; strengthen security defence through blockchain technology and smart contracts; and will ensure interoperability with various IT and a wealth of IoT devices through a dedicated Common Integration Platform.
