Trachanas Georgios, Dr

Applied Mathematician, M.Sc. PhD

Dr. Georgios Trachanas is a Senior Researcher at the Energy Policy Unit of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He holds a Diploma (MSc equivalent) in Applied Mathematics, an MSc in Mathematical Modelling in Finance, and a PhD in Partial Differential Equations, all from the School of Applied Mathematical & Physical Sciences, NTUA.

His research interests lie mainly in the interface of applied mathematics, management and decision support systems, while, recently, he has been involved with computable general equilibrium modelling for supporting decision making within the energy and climate policy context.

Georgios works as a Senior Researcher in the Horizon Europe research and innovation projects i-STENTORE and BUILDSPACE.
