Dr. Konstantinos Koasidis is a Senior Researcher at the Energy Policy Unit of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). He holds a M.Eng. in electrical & computer engineering and a PhD in decision support tools for climate change mitigation, both from the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering, NTUA. 

Konstantinos has experience in developing decision tools to support energy and climate policies for climate change mitigation, including integrated assessment models, operational research frameworks, such as multi-criteria decision aid, group-decision and consensus making, multi-objective programming, fuzzy cognitive maps, and socio-technical transition and innovation frameworks. His research focuses on applying said tools to co-create policies with stakeholders through a transdisciplinary lens to respond to crises in energy and climate policy; evaluate the impact of policies towards achieving long-term climate targets; shed light on the interplay of climate change mitigation with the sustainable development agenda; implement plans for a just energy transition and alleviate energy poverty; and model energy behaviours and evaluate policies for the decarbonisation of the building sector.

Finally, Konstantinos has worked on and managed European (Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe) and national projects (General Secretariat for Research and Innovation, Hellenic Foundation for Research & Innovation) in the fields of energy policy and climate action and has more than 35 scientific publications in high-impact international journals and books, as well as dozens of announcements in national and international conferences. 

Konstantinos is the project manager of the Horizon Europe research and innovation project DIAMOND, co-scientific coordinator and quality manager of Horizon Europe TRANSIENCE, works as a senior researcher and work package leader in the LIFE 2021-2027 JUSTEM project, and as a senior researcher in the Horizon Europe IAM COMPACT. In the past, he managed the GSRI-HFRI funded project ATOM, worked as a senior researcher and work package leader in H2020 PARIS REINFORCE, and as a researcher in H2020 SocialWatt.
