The 2nd International Conference on Research Infrastructures (ICRI) 2014 offers a high level international forum where key stakeholders can meet, discuss and contribute to bringing forward global issues related to Research Infrastructures. ICRI was co-organised by the European Commission and the Greek EU Presidency of the European Union.
ENGAGE took part in ICRI 2014 with an exhibition booth, shared with the collaborating project OpenAIRE, where the project’s new video was shown and live demonstrations where given to interested participants. Various ENGAGE partners were present at the event, NTUA, INTRASOFT, euroCRIS and MIC (which was also part of the conference’s organising committee) and engaged in discussions with members of CLARIN and CHAIN-REDS, as well as other participants from research organisations in the Netherlands, the UK, Germany, Greece and Romania. Following their expression of interest about the ENGAGE and a demo of the main features of the platform, most visitors pointed out their concerns regarding the sustainability of the platform and their willingness to join the platform, provided it will be supported after the official end of the project.
