This project is implemented in the framework of the contract-frame with the European Commission in the sector of energy (Framework Contract, Lot-4), that aims at the rapid benefit of technical aid in third countries in the above sectors.
The aim of particular work is the scientific support to the European Commission, for the design of the Global Action on “Cooperation on Clean coal technologies and carbon capture and storage with coal dependent developing and emerging country partners”. The project will also support engaged authorities on administrative and managerial issues.
Expected Results:
- Inventory of existing methods and available CCT and CCS technologies.
- Production/submission of overview of the current government and private sector positions on CCT/CCS in developing countries with high dependence on coal.
- Cooperative activities between interested groups of such developing countries and of groups working on CCS plants in Europe.
