This project is implemented in the framework of the contract-frame with the European Commission in the sector of energy (Framework Contract, Lot-4), that aims at the rapid benefit of technical aid in third countries in the above sectors.The aim of particular work is the scientific support to the European Commission, to analyse the role played and methods applied by Rural Electrification Funds in the electrification of rural areas in Africa, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. As part of the assignment, the Consultants are requested to provide a set of recommendations on best practice that may be applied by Rural Electrification Funds and/or other similar funding arrangements. The project will also support local authorities on administrative and managerial issues.
