Assoc. Prof. Haris Doukas (NTUA) attended the 2019 Annual Plenary Meeting of the Energy Efficiency Financial Institutions Group (EEFIG). The event took place on the 19th of February 2019 in Brussels, Belgium. Haris Doukas presented the Triple-A project making an overview of its main aim and expected results and discussed about how EEFIG activities could support the newly launched Triple-A project.

Assoc. Prof. Haris Doukas (NTUA) participated in the Workshop on Buildings’ Energy Efficiency and Standardisation which was organised by the Technical Chamber of Greece on the 30th of January 2019, in Athens, Greece. Mr.

The 2nd C-Track 50 roundtable with national Greek entities was realised in the premises of the National Technical University of Athens, on the 22nd of October. Representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Region of Epirus, the Region of Thessaly, the Center for Renewable Sources and Energy Saving, the Technical Chamber of Greece, the Sustainable City Network, as well as representatives of the National Technical University of Athens and EPTA (as C-Track 50 partners) participated in the meeting.

 The first C-Track 50 roundtable was realized in Athens, with the participation of NTUA and EPTA, and representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Energy, the Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency, the Technical Chamber of Greece and the Sustainable City network. The discussion was focused on the energy policy planning process and the role that regions and municipalities can undertake, as well as possible ways to improve the collaboration between the relevant stakeholders. All participants renewed their commitment for the two upcoming roundtables.

TRANSrisk “Implementing NDCs: Diversity of Actors and Actions” and “The future of nuclear, oils sands and renewables: risky energy pathways?” COP23 side events took place on the 6th and 9th of November 2017, in Bonn, Germany. In these workshops results from TRANSrisk case studies in Canada, China, Indonesia, Switzerland and UK were presented.

TRANSrisk (Transitions Pathways and Risk Analysis for Climate Change Mitigation and Adaption Strategies) completed its 1st year of implementation. TRANSrisk “Assessing mitigation pathway risk and uncertainty: case studies in the Netherlands, Kenya and Chile” COP22 side event took place on the 18th of November 2016, in Marrakech, Morocco. In this workshop TRANSrisk approach to developing low emission transition pathways and practical application of this work to a ‘post-Paris’ world were analysed. On 11/11/2016 the final review meeting of the Policy Compass project was held in Berlin, Germany at the Fraunhofer FOKUS premises. The project finished in a very successful manner, accepting congratulations from the reviewers and the Project Officer.
