i-STENTORE project @ the 87th Thessaloniki International Fair

The i-STENTORE project was successfully presented in the 87th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), that took place in the Thessaloniki International Exhibition & Congress Center. TIF is an annual trade exhibition event of great importance for Greece and Southeast Europe, and this year hosted more than 123.000 visitors and 1.500 exhibitors.

Addressing the crowd, Assistant Professor Vangelis Marinakis from DSS Lab, EPU-NTUA, one of the 27 partners of the project, highlighted the importance of the energy storage systems and their role in the energy system, on the basis of providing significant flexibility to the grid as well as enhancing RES penetration in the energy mix. Dr. Marinakis also laid significant emphasis on the hydrogen-based technologies which are expected to lead the way on the energy storage end, towards sustainability.
