Through its involvement in major European Commission programmes and in national initiatives, EPU-NTUA has undertaken and completed successfully, projects all over the world, with their beneficiaries spanning from administrations and public organisations to industry, trade and SMEs all over the world.
Since 1990, EPU-NTUA has spread its activities in the Central and Eastern European countries, in the countries of the former Soviet Union, as well as in the Mediterranean, Central Asia, Central America and the Middle and Far East.
Since its establishment in 1980 the unit is involved in major EC - funded programmes, namely TACIS, MEDA, PHARE, SYNERGY, FP7, FP6, FP5, JOULE, SAVE, THERMIE, RACE, ESPRIT, DRIVE, BRITE EURAM, TELEMATICS etc as well as in national programmes funded by Greek Ministries (National Economy, Industry, Energy and Technology, Environment and Urban Planning), Energy Organisations (electricity, oil and gas sectors), regional and national authorities, and other public and private organisations. Within this framework, EPU-NTUA collaborates regularly with competent national, European and international organisations
